Target Audience

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of APP's involved in the care of patients with rheumatic disease.

Program Overview

Each summit will feature a program focusing on hot topics in gout, psoriatic arthritis (PsA), systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), and vasculitis. The presentations are designed to reach community NPs, PAs, and PharmDs who may be unable to attend the annual RhAPP National Conference.

Educational Objectives

After completing this activity, participants should be better able to:
 

  • Describe the latest clinical guidelines and treatment recommendations for the management of rheumatic disease

  • Individualized treatment and dosing for patients with rheumatic disease by assessing the latest evidence-based benefits of the available treatments

  • Assess the risk factors associated with each treatment recommendation and carefully monitor patients for adverse events

  • Evaluate new treatment options for rheumatic disease and therapeutics development

  • Assess the risk-benefit for patients receiving new therapeutics for rheumatic disease

Accreditation Statement:

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower and the Rheumatology Advanced Practice Providers. Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
